Following last Friday (7th September) mornings 3.49am, 7.8 Mag Earthquake near Fiji, here are the wave forms from a couple of Jenlogix, 60 plus, seismometers in the Wellington region.
The seismic waves of the 608km deep earthquake took several minutes to arrive in the capital and, in this instance, was not big enough to create one of our automated Shake maps, which are usually sent to our clients within 60 seconds of our sensors picking up a quake. One of the sensors/wave forms, pictured here is from BECA’s Molesworth St office, and the other, in Red Wolf High Level Security offices in Lower Hutt.
